Basic Truth of Life

1 Corinthians 15:45-16e, Proverbs 24


The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. I Corinthians 15:56-57


We live from this basic understanding of life -- our sin destroys us, but God has taken its power away to give us life in Jesus. None of us is immune from sin, and all of us need Jesus. Sometimes we forget these basic principles of life. So step back and look at how you are living your life and what you are living for. Does that flow from this basic truth? God does not call for us to always have our noses in the Bible, but we dare not forget the importance of Jesus in our lives. For the sake of those around you, don’t get distracted. Celebrate this victory Jesus has given!
