Blessed

What other nation is so great as to have their gods near them the way the Lord our God is near us whenever we pray to him? And what other nation is so great as to have such righteous decrees and laws as this body of laws I am setting before you today? Deuteronomy 4:7-8

Simply put, Moses shared that all the other nations would marvel at how blessed the Israelites were because of their intimacy with God and because of the laws God had given them to live by. What God had given them would make others jealous. So why is it that the Israelites would later ignore the laws of God and within 3 generations ignore God to the point that “another generation grew up who knew neither the Lord nor what he had done for Israel.” (Judges 2:10) Cherish what you have in Jesus and don’t let your grandchildren grow up not knowing how blessed we are to be God’s children.
