Now choose life, so that you and your children may live and that you may love the Lord your God, listen to his voice, and hold fast to him. Deuteronomy 30:19-20
When Nancy and I got married, we did not think about big houses, expensive dinners out or investment strategies – we loved being together. It was a great joy to love each other. The practical things of life were important, but they were not what brought us joy. They still aren’t. I love that God calls for us to choose life (as he held out the choice of blessings & curses) so that we may “live and that you may love the Lord your God.” May you know the joy of walking with God today. That is a greater joy than being married to Nancy. In fact, it is God who has blessed us so much in our marriage. When we find joy in him—everything else gets better. What a privilege it is to know such love!
