Bragging Rights

I know that I will remain, and I will continue with all of you for your progress and joy in the faith, so that through my being with you again your boasting in Christ Jesus will abound on account of me. Philippians 1:25-26

It is the job of the pastor to be the voice of Jesus for his people so that their “boasting in Christ Jesus will abound.” At least, that is what Paul gave as the reason for his confidence that God would bring him back to the Philippians. So, if I want you to brag about Jesus, I need to help you see the great things Jesus is doing in, for, around you. Do you see him? This morning already he has washed you in forgiving grace. He has already gone ahead of you to pave the way for everything you will experience today. He would speak to you, reminding you of the strength you have, the hope that is yours and your joy that cannot be taken away. Do you hear him? Don’t get bogged down by the troubles of this world. You have the most awesome Savior who lives in you! Brag him up!!!!
