Celebrate-- But Work Still to be DONE

Go, tell his disciples and Peter, ‘He is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him, just as he told you. Mark 16:7

When the women would have loved to hold on to that moment of the empty tomb—God told them to move on. Easter is both a celebration and a sending. Jesus shows himself to be the Savior of the world by his resurrection, AND he would have us to remember the work is not yet complete because there are so many in the world who do not yet know him (or his grace). The angel told the women to tell the disciples to go to work. I think we are that angel (messenger) today – celebrating the risen Christ and moving the church to keep reaching out to those who have not yet experienced Easter.
