Celebrate God's Blessings!

Observe the month of Aviv and celebrate the Passover of the Lord your God, because in the month of Aviv he brought you out of Egypt by night. Deuteronomy 16:1

God loves celebrations and, in this chapter, commands the Israelites to observe three of them annually. There were more, but these were the ones where he wanted them to all gather in the same city to celebrate. What do all these have in common? They give opportunity for the people to remember the great things God has done for them. God would have us to celebrate often. We do so every week in worship, but you also have holidays and birthdays to observe. Use each of these celebrations to remember all God has done for you. My oldest grandson’s birthday is this week. It will be a great time to thank God for giving us such a gift as this young man to be part of our lives. I’m sure the cake will be good too!
