Confusion and Choices

“What shall I do, then, with the one you call the king of the Jews?” Pilate asked them. Mark 15:12
It is hard to know what to do with Jesus. Pilate did not understand so he let the people decide. The people cried out for Jesus to be crucified. I have to confess there are times I do not know what to do. There are times I have made fun of what Jesus calls me to do because I was with a crowd doing what Jesus we are not to do. There are times I have played dumb – but I knew in my heart what Jesus was saying. Then there have been times when I have given myself to Jesus to love him from the bottom of my heart and to honor him by my actions. I can tell you that those are the times I have experienced the greatest joy on this earth. When you don’t know what to do—just listen to him. This is not really about choices – unless you consider the choice Jesus made to die for you and all the rest of us who so often get things so wrong. Think about it!
