Consequences

When you have crossed the Jordan, these tribes shall stand on Mount Gerizim to bless the people . . . And these tribes shall stand on Mount Ebal to pronounce curses. Deuteronomy 27:12-13

Consequences, we deal with them every day. You may consider them to be punishment, but there are consequences for good behavior as well as bad. God put witnesses on different mountains to hold out before the people the consequences of their actions – blessings or curses. Neither is a reflection of God’s love, rather they are a reminder that your actions have consequences. They still do. Be intentional in your choices today. God loves you and wants to bless you. Listen to him as you make choices today.
