Family -- A Priority

jheimsoth

Acts 5-6, Proverbs 17

Better a dry crust with peace and quiet than a house full of feasting, with strife. Proverbs 17:1

Family is a precious gift and one to be taken care of. Few would argue this statement, but how to care for a family is often confusing. I have seen some who, out of love for family, worked many hours to bring home more money to provide for those he loved. Unfortunately, his work kept him from ever spending time with the family and it fell apart. God calls for us to choose poverty and peace in the family over prosperity and strife. This is not a call to poverty but to priority. Guard the time you spend together as a family. Do not let work or sports or electronic devices steal from you that which is so precious.
