God remembers what you have suffered for his sake. I said yesterday that Moses gives blessings to Jacob’s 12 sons. Actually, I only see 10 who are mentioned, and of those mentioned, most get one or two verses of blessing. Levi, whose family would not get any land in Canaan because they would serve in the temple gets four verses and Joseph gets five (13-17). I think there is special favor for Joseph because of all he had suffered for the family. He had been sold into slavery to the Egyptians. Through it all he had been faithful to God – and God remembers. I don’t know what you have had to endure in your life so that God might be glorified (Joseph’s faithfulness had saved the family from famine), but God does. He never forgets. May you know there is always blessing in God’s heart for you – especially if he has allowed pain and suffering in your life.
