II Kings, Isaiah 2, 3, 6, 1 John 1:1-2:6.

We proclaim to you what we have seen and heard, so that you also may have fellowship with us. And our fellow. ship is with the Father and with his Son, Jesus Christ. I John 1:3

John’s message (and ours) is shared for the purpose of bringing people together with one another and with God. That message is about forgiveness for our sin in Jesus. Sometimes the church has pointed out people’s sins for exclusion and condemnation—not forgiveness. Father, help me to stay true to the goal I am working toward—unity in Jesus. AMEN.
