We ought always to thank God for you, brothers and sisters, and rightly so, because your faith is growing more and more, and the love all of you have for one another is increasing. Therefore, among God’s churches we boast about your perseverance and faith in all the persecutions and trials you are enduring. II Thessalonians 1:3-4
So what impresses God? Paul commends the people for two things. The first that they love each other. The second is that they are holding firm to the faith in “persecutions and trials.” Sometimes we think of how much we trust God as a measure of faith. Paul’s first measure is how we love one another. Never take lightly how important it is that we love one another. Let’s BE the Body of Christ today—show some love!
