In the Business of Forgiving

2 Corinthians 2-4, Psalms 82-84

Anyone you forgive, I also forgive. And what I have forgiven—if there was anything to forgive—I have forgiven in the sight of Christ for your sake, in order that Satan might not outwit us. For we are not unaware of his schemes. II Corinthians 2:10-11

The church in Corinth had had some problems, but now Paul encourages them to forgive those he had earlier called out. Why is he so BIG on forgiveness? Because he knew Satan’s “schemes.” Do you? Satan works every day to keep us from forgiving one another. May we never forget—we are in the business of restoring relationships, forgiving one another as God has forgiven us. Mess up Satan’s plans today—work at forgiving people around you.
