Reading the Old Testament, there is a lot of God’s inflicting defeat and suffering because people like Ahaz (II Chr.28) do not honor him. God’s judgment is real, but that does not define him. We all deserve God’s punishment, but He pours out His grace and calls us His children. What defines God? – love that is so deep that He sacrificed Jesus to die that He might suffer what we deserve so we can call God our Father and heaven our home. Have a great day!
