Jesus' Resurrection Means Everything!

Jesus gave them orders not to tell anyone what they had seen until the Son of Man had risen from the dead. They kept the matter to themselves, discussing what “rising from the dead” meant. Mark 9:9-10

I think we are still wondering what it means that Jesus has risen from the dead. For his disciples who saw Jesus’ great miracles, it was absurd to think that Jesus could die. After all, he had raised people from the dead. But Jesus would die—sacrificing his own life to save ours. His being raised from the dead shows both his tremendous love for us AND his power over death. What does his resurrection mean? It means that we are loved by God and that death no longer has any power over us. In Jesus, we will live forever! Don’t be afraid of what lies ahead. Praise God!
