Not an Option

There will always be poor people in the land. Therefore I command you to be openhanded toward your fellow Israelites who are poor and needy in your land. Deuteronomy 15:11

There are many commands given by God, but don’t forget this one—to be generous to those in need. You may think that people living in poverty is a sign of laziness or some other fault of the individual – but what If God wants someone else’s poverty to be a test for your generosity, a measure of your heart. Why would God make generosity a command? Think about that today.
