Not Optional

You must be blameless before the Lord your God. Deuteronomy 18:13

This is not an expectation; it is a demand. I may try to ignore this sentence because of its impossible nature, but then I will use weak excuses to make light of my failures. God does not lie, but he does not stand idly by either. Jesus came into the world and took all our guilt on his back when he sacrificed his life on the cross. He gave you and me HIS righteousness (I Cor.1:30) by taking our guilt.

This is why I worship Jesus. He has changed me and given me life. He has made the impossible—possible. God makes great demands – but backs that up with greater love.
