Positive Faith Focus

“Rabbi, look! The fig tree you cursed has withered!” Mark 11:21

It is an incident that has always struck me. Jesus cursed a fig tree that did not have any fruit on its branches (even though I think it was not the season for figs) and it died. His explanation is that his disciples would have power (by faith) to move mountains. My mind naturally goes to what God will do to me if I don’t bear fruit (and he speaks strongly of that) where He wants my mind to focus on the powerful things God can do in my life. How do I focus on the positive? I think the answer is to focus on Jesus. Don’t live today in fear, but do live it in faith. Do great things in Jesus’ name!
