Shine the Light for Others to See HIM

Because of the service by which you have proved yourselves, others will praise God for the obedience that accompanies your confession of the gospel of Christ, and for your generosity in sharing with them and with everyone else. II Corinthians 9:13

Why should you care? Why is obedience and generosity so important—to prove your faith? In one sense that is true. But the reality is that your faith is proven when the lives of others are blessed by the way you live your life. I think it is the highest compliment God gives that by your influence “others will praise God.” Thus my goal is not obedience or generosity; it is to help others see God’s love through me. Jesus is the one who taught us this approach. He once said, “I have come that they might have life.” (Jn.10:10) Make someone’s day today!
