The Best Role Model

(This week I am reading Mark 14:43-72.)

One of those standing near drew his sword and struck the servant of the high priest, cutting off his ear. Mark 14:47

I read this passage and see Judas betray Jesus, Peter pull his sword and all of them eventually fleeing. I want to learn from them and their mistakes, but I do better to focus on Jesus to learn from his perfect love. Peter whacked off the ear of the one soldier; Jesus reattached the hear and healed the man. How do you think that might be better for you today—to take your lead from Jesus rather than trying to learn from the mistakes of others?
