What Makes God Happy?

Ezra 5-6, Zechariah 7-9, Matthew 27:1-10

“This is what the Lord Almighty said: ‘Administer true justice; show mercy and compassion to one another. Do not oppress the widow or the fatherless, the foreigner or the poor. Do not plot evil against each other.’ Zechariah 7:9-10

The conversation was on why the fasting of the people was not acceptable to God. The answer is because rituals carried out are not what satisfy God. His primary concern is not if we came to church or not or if we put enough money in the offering plate. His concern is the well-being of his people – all his people. He wants us to be just and show compassion. If we get that right then our worship and offerings will follow. Think about it.
