What We Wait For

God is just: He will pay back trouble . . . This will happen when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven in blazing fire with his powerful angels. I Thessalonians 1:6-7

God will make things right. That is his promise. You may think you know what that means and you may want it to happen today. The reality is that all this will happen when Jesus returns in glory. God says there will always be troubles in this world. That is why we wait with such longing for Jesus to return. My greatest joy is not to retire and live next door to grandchildren; it is to see the day when Jesus comes back in glory. My greatest task is to make sure my grandchildren are looking for that as well.
