Galatians 4:12-6:19 Proverbs 27
Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. Galatians 6:2
I used to see a verse like this as a burden on me to be nice to others. Perhaps it is like the parent who forces a child to say “I’m sorry” or “thank you.” We cannot make anyone feel the right way, but that is the goal here. This is not about my doing good things for people, it is about caring. Remember that ‘love’ is always an action verb for God. Want an example? Jesus carried our burdens on the cross. We may be a people who serve, but we are always a people who are MORE SERVED by God. Actually we love, but we are MORE LOVED by God. Have a great day!
