Who is Jesus

Luke 8:40-9e, Proverbs 12

  1. “What about you?” he asked. “Who do you say I am?” Luke 9:20

  2. It is a simple question and yet I wonder how many of us really know the answer. Jesus posed this question to his disciples and Peter’s answer was simple and correct. He said Jesus was the Messiah. Soon after we learn that Peter did not know what that meant. Who is Jesus? Do I know who he is when I struggle with life, when I plan for the future, when I face death. Take some time today to honestly answer that question and apply it so several scenarios in your life. Then tell someone that answer and see how it fits. (Hint: if your answer doesn’t need the cross—then you have a wrong opinion of Jesus)
