“That would never happen to me” is one of the most foolish statements one could ever make. Adam and Eve never thought this would turn from God. When God’s people entered the Promised Land they would ask a farmer there how to farm that area. His response would have included offering sacrifices to so-n-so god who causes the seed to sprout. Sounds foolish to me, but some of them did it. It sounds foolish that winning the lottery will take all your problems away, but many think it could. It sounds foolish to think someone tells me they love me that I will live happily ever after, but people fall for that dream every day. You and I could easily be enticed to forget God. We have dying churches all over the place to verify this. So begin this day thanking God for all he has given you and ask him to help you see the lies of Satan that would turn you away from the only true GOD – your heavenly Father.
