Cursed by God?

If someone guilty of a capital offense is put to death and their body is exposed on a pole, you must not leave the body hanging on the pole overnight. Be sure to bury it that same day, because anyone who is hung on a pole is under God’s curse. Deuteronomy 21:22-23

It was a desecration to hang a person from a pole. It was the mark of being cursed by God. I don’t understand all of that, but it does make me think of Jesus. Part of God’s law was that the way Jesus died meant he was cursed by God. He hung from a pole! Wasn’t that the most beautiful act the world has seen. Jesus became cursed for our sakes that we might have his righteous. There is so much I do not understand, but I know God loves me more than this world could ever imagine. We are blessed!
