God Gives More

And now, Israel, what does the Lord your God ask of you but to fear the Lord your God, to walk in obedience to him, to love him, to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, and to observe the Lord’s commands and decrees that I am giving you today for your own good? Deuteronomy 10:12-13

What does God want from you? He wants you to be fully committed to your relationship with him. Fear and obedience, love and service – all of those point to being “all in.” And if you think that is a bit much, remember Jesus, the cross, and all God has done for you. He is more “all in” to this relationship than you. Consider that the next time you think God asks “too much” of you.
