God Honored Simon

Esther 1-4, Matthew 27:27-44

As they were going out, they met a man from Cyrene, named Simon, and they forced him to carry the cross. Matthew 27:32

What an honor that was. I don’t know if Simon saw it that way, but what an honor to walk with Jesus to his crucifixion. Simon could not die on our behalf, but he was able to assist Jesus. What opportunities will God give you today to assist Jesus—if only to walk with him? Look for the opportunities and consider it an honor—even if the task is difficult.
