God is Different

Jeremiah 36, 13, Matthew 9:1-17

Some men brought to him a paralyzed man, lying on a mat. When Jesus saw their faith, he said to the man, “Take heart, son; your sins are forgiven.” Matthew 9:2

The man was paralyzed and Jesus forgave him. It seemed odd and it got people upset with Jesus. Why does God seem to go left when we expect him to go right? When God spoke through Jeremiah they wanted to kill him. Here they were scratching their heads. Jesus does makes sense though. He always does. The spiritual is always more important than the physical. Does that make sense to you? I pray it does. Jesus will take care of our physical needs, but that is not why he came into the world. He came to die so we might live. Now that really makes sense, doesn’t it?
