Surely it is you who love the people; all the holy ones are in your hand. At your feet they all bow down, and from you receive instruction. Deuteronomy 33:3
Deuteronomy 33 provides us with the final blessing Moses would give to the people he had led for so many years. In that blessing he acknowledges that the people are not his – they are God’s. This is the God who loves his people. It is that love that drove them to bow down before Him and that love which led him to guide (instruct) them. It has always been about love for God. Just look at the cross if you think differently. He loves you. Don’t fall for the temptation to think that obedience to God is some burden. It is our response of love reaching out to perfect love. Have a blessed day!
