God's Way Works

Hear, Israel, and be careful to obey so that it may go well with you and that you may increase greatly in a land flowing with milk and honey, just as the Lord, the God of your ancestors, promised you. Deuteronomy 6:3

There is an amazing thing about the laws of God—they work! The promise of blessing here is not about a reward, it is a natural consequence. If only we could learn this lesson. We don’t get ahead by cheating, gossiping or lying. Living as God calls for us to live puts us in position for blessings to come. Obedience to God aligns us with people, opportunities, and (yes) sometimes persecution. But even when we suffer for being connected with Jesus—we grow stronger. Want to get ahead in life—listen to what God says and follow his lead. It works!
