How Awesome is Jesus!

He is not the God of the dead, but of the living. Mark 12:27

This reading is from the last week of Jesus’ life. Here is another group who tried to trip Jesus up (on some question of the resurrection) rather than listen to him. Part of my mind goes to all the ways and all the people who still try to mess with Jesus rather than worship him, but I would rather see how awesome Jesus is rather than how foolish people are. Jesus is the God of the LIVING. Those who have died in the faith are not dead. By the power of Jesus, and his sacrifice, they are alive eternally. Last night we welcomed another granddaughter into the world. I want her to know how much Jesus loves her and the life he has planned for her. I want her to know that joy of what is right in our world—JESUS!
