(Jesus) said to them, “The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath. Mark 2:27

Some church leaders had scolded Jesus because his disciples had grabbed some grain from a field on the Sabbath as they walked down a path. The rule was that one does not work on the Sabbath. Read Mark chapter two and you will see that Jesus and his followers live in joy, there were others who lived for the rules. Jesus brings joy because Jesus is about people. We are never to abolish God’s laws—just remember they are put her to help us—not to herd us. Make this a day of joy as you walk with Jesus! Let him help you to see joy in connecting to people around you!
