People Over Presents

How can we thank God enough for you in return for all the joy we have in the presence of our God because of you? I Thessalonians 3:9

One of the things I enjoy about getting older is realizing that my excitement for Christmas is much less the presents and much more the people. We are made rich by those around us—Jesus, family and Christian family. St. Paul always thanked God for the faith of the people he served. Take a moment today to give thanks to God for Jesus, who lives within you, and the people God has put around you. I pray you find blessing in that AND that you bring blessing as you invest in those around you. Today I attend the funeral of a very dear friend. I thank God for bringing Bill into my life and for the joy that heaven is real because Jesus defeated death on the cross. God is good!
