Power of His Word

Sacrifice as the Passover to the Lord your God an animal from your flock or herd at the place the Lord will choose as a dwelling for his Name. Do not eat it with bread made with yeast, but for seven days eat unleavened bread, the bread of affliction, because you left Egypt in haste—so that all the days of your life you may remember the time of your departure from Egypt. Deuteronomy 16:2-3

The Passover was a festival to remember how God had saved his people from slavery in Egypt. The Passover lamb was another reminder of the price of freedom and the bread made without yeast a reminder that when God calls for them to move—they were to be ready to do so quickly. They were to be packed and ready to go before Pharaoh ever declared that they could. It is a beautiful thing to trust God to believe His Word more than what you see in front of you. You see, it is God who says that you are holy, you will never be alone, that this world has no power over you, that you will never die. May we act today according to what God has declared for we have been set free too. Our Passover Lamb??—Jesus!
