Real Peace -- It is Sweet

Nehemiah 11-13, Colossians 3:1-17

Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. Colossians 3:15

Peace is difficult to experience. It requires that we be “at peace” with ourselves when there are many who are not happy with who they are. It requires that I be connected with those around me. I accept them for who they are, but I do not fear them for what they might do to me. We don’t see a lot of that going on. Jesus brings peace because he forgives you and takes away all guilt so you can like who you are. He also, by that same forgiveness, brings us into a relationship (siblings) with those around us. He who calls us to peace—makes it happen. This peace is one of the greatest blessings Jesus gives. Enjoy it – reach out to someone today.
