(This week I am reading Philippians 4:1-9.)

Therefore, my brothers and sisters, you whom I love and long for, my joy and crown, stand firm in the Lord in this way, dear friends! Philippians 4:1

St. Paul loved the Philippians. He loved how they had responded to the message of Jesus. And he saw them to be his “joy and crown.” Do I think like that—my joy and my sense of achievement to be found in the faith of those I minister to (family, friends and church)? Lord help me to see that my greatest accomplishments in life lie in the spiritual life of those I love the most – for that is your joy as well. AMEN.
